Cosmetic Tattooing

Understanding Cosmetic Tattooing

What is Cosmetic Brow Tattooing? Cosmetic Brow Tattooing, also known as Microblading, Ombre, Combination, or Powder Brows, is a semi-permanent makeup technique to enhance the appearance of your eyebrows. It involves depositing pigments beneath the skin's surface to create fuller, well-defined brows. Our highly skilled artist, Sarah, will customize the technique to suit your unique features and style.

Microblading creates natural-looking hair-like strokes using a fine blade and pigment, perfect for those seeking a subtle, feathered effect. Ombre Brows offers a soft, gradient effect that is darker at the tail and fades towards the front, providing a more filled-in appearance. Combination Brows combine Microblading and shading techniques to achieve both realistic hair strokes and a soft powder finish, providing a balanced, semi-natural look. Powder Brows create a soft, powdered makeup effect, ideal for those who prefer a bolder, filled-in brow. This technique results in a more defined and polished look. The choice among these techniques depends on your desired brow style, personal preferences, and skin type, and our experienced artist will help you select the perfect option to suit your unique features.

We highly suggest that we will need to move away from Microblading after the first session and move to a machine brow, this is due to being slightly more trauma to the skin and the pigment migrating.

All make up can be worn. We will only remove what we need to when completing your cosmetic tattoo.

For your comfort, we recommend using Emla numbing cream from the pharmacy one hour before your appointments. We also use anesthetics and a secondary numbing gel during the procedure to enhance your comfort and relaxation.

How long does it take to heal?

The first two weeks are the most crucial in terms of healing however your tattoo will continue to heal over the next 6 weeks after each appointment. Sarah will go over aftercare with you during your appointment.

Should I wax or tint my brows before?

We recommend not shaping your brows before to avoid removing excessive hair. Sarah will customize your brow shape during the treatment. If you frequently tint your brows, we advise tinting 2-5 days before. Avoid Henna or Hybrid tint within 10-14 days of your scheduled appointment.
